San Diego Women Veterans Network

The San Diego Women Veterans Network was started to raise awareness regarding the needs of San Diego’s women veterans, improve the coordination of service providers to specifically address female veteran topics, and to create a network of support for women veterans in our county. 

Mission: To empower women veterans’ success, inspire collaboration for veterans service providers, and to create a thriving community for women veterans.
Vision: To create a hub of community collaboration that is empowered and emboldened to generate women veterans’ success.

Billiekai Boughton was selected to be the 2018 San Diego Veteran of Influence by Connected Women of Influence, is UC San Diego’s 2013 & 2010 Veteran of the Year and the 2014 Veteran of the Year for California District 79. She is the Founder of the San Diego Women Veterans Network, and passionately serves as a Board Member of the San Diego Veterans Coalition and as a Board member of the California Women Veterans Leadership Council. Billiekai is a US Army Desert Storm Veteran, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in English with an emphasis in 16th Century Literature and Contemporary Poetry from the University of California, Berkeley. Billiekai earned her business Master’s degree from the University of San Diego in Executive Leadership. She has poems in numerous anthologies and has two published chapbooks of poetry. She volunteers teaching poetry writing workshops, editing the veterans section of the San Diego Poetry Annual, as a life coach, women’s mentor, and as a veteran advocate.

Service Provider Meetings (AKA Partner meetings): 1st Friday of every month at 10:30am – 11:30am. Everyone is welcome.
