Ms. Vander Lugt began her college career as a student athlete at Pfeiffer University in Misenheimer, North Carolina. While at Pfeiffer, Ms. Vander Lugt worked in adminssions where she contributed to marketing and recruitment efforts and often gave tours to prospective students and their families while playing on a full ride volleyball scholarship. Ms. Vander Lugt graduated with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2005. After graduation, Ms. Vander Lugt began working in Winston Salem for an entrepreneur where she was the Chief Operations Manager of four companies. Simultaneously running a legal research company, an investigative services company, a previously owned car lot, and a loan financing company, she also aided in administration and operations of the president’s fifth company, a pilot flight training school. Multitasking, problem solving and startup companies are nothing new to Ms. Vander Lugt.
After deciding to move to Raleigh, North Carolina in an effort to diversify her work experience, she worked in a variety of industries, such as residential construction, psychology, banking, manufacturing, as well as food and beverage companies. Ms. Vander Lugt held two jobs for a number of years in an effort to absorb as much knowledge as possible from these diverse industries.
Ms. Vander Lugt began building the versatile aspects of her professional career in Winston-Salem by taking a job offer with a local poultry manufacturer where she focused on sales and brand marketing, traveling all over the southeast. While working full time and traveling, Ms. Vander Lugt felt the need to pursue her MBA and after an expedited and strenuous 11 month curriculum, Ms. Vander Lugt graduated with her Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from American InterContinental University.
